The artwork ‘Gazing’ was created for the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia's  Eye Health program.

The human eye is designed to perceive the beauty of the world. Its intricate structure turns light into a vibrant display of colours and shapes. From the tiny details in the pupils to the expansive canvas of the retina, the eye reveals the wonders of the universe within its gaze.

The centrepiece represents the eye, with the larger circulating lines representing the eyes lashes. The spiral formation combines the central focal point to the outer elements, bringing to life the inspiration of a galaxy in what can also be described as a ripple effect. The colours represent all the beautiful things in the world that you might not see if you were to experience Eye Health issues.

The eye enables us to see and experience the world around us and we should try not to lose sight of its importance.
